What’s a Thai Rice Cruise?

Imagine traveling between Bangkok and Northern ancient capital of Ayutthaya on board a barge, where each morning begins with offering alms to the village monks before heading into the countryside by bike to visit temples and learn more about the local hill-tribes of the area.

The barge is also equipped with enough bicycles for all passengers. All meals throughout the journey are included. Afterwards you can either travel further north up to Chiang Mai after the cruise or be transferred overland back to Bangkok if you have limited time.

The barge called The New Thanatharee is equipped with all the modern conveniences. It is equipped with 6 air conditioned double cabins with shared bathroom facilities.

ThaiRiceCruiseSpecial pricing is available for travel before 31st August 2011.

The Thanatharee travels between Bangkok and the Northern ancient capital of Ayutthaya taking in rural villages of Thailand along the way.
